We are pleased to report that we have now done it !!!
We completed our challenge yesterday, We walked from Corbridge to Brampton via Hadrian’s wall, in both sunshine and showers. It took 6 days to complete, which is understandable when you see the terrain, together with the fact that I carried our 1 year old daughter and that Heather turned out to be 3 months pregnant.
We were blessed with good weather, warm, but not too hot, cloudy, but not too wet. Megan loved every minute of it, Heather coped well and I ended up bruised and blistered from carrying 22kg on my back, but the scenery was breathtaking and worth every ache, pain, bruise and blister.
We have achieved our fund-raising target of £1,250, so Baby Lifeline can purchase the much needed equipment that the Special Care Baby Unit Needs, with a little extra to boost their UK Maternity Appeal too, Bonus !!!
I have uploaded a few photos of our walk, into an album hosted online by Snapfish, to view these simply CLICK HERE – Please note, to view our album you may need to register with Snapfish, it’s simple and free to join and you get free prints to boot, so no worries there !!!
Thanks to everyone who have supported us, with donations, collection tins, transport to the wall, accommodation, baggage transfer, press coverage, licensing, and messages of support. You all know who you are and we couldn’t have done it without you !!!
